The arrival of a newborn baby is one of the most exciting, joyous occasions in a young parent’s life. Share this excitement with your community of friends and family by formally announcing your child’s arrival using the following guidelines and ideas.
There are so many ways to announce the arrival of your little bundle of joy. You can send an email card, post about it on Facebook or Instagram, and even send group messages to your close family about it.
It is never too late to send your announcements, but if you have already sent electronic ones, you would not repeat the announcement with a mailed one. Avoid asking for, or mentioning gifts in your announcement. That’s what baby showers are for. Birth announcements are a long standing tradition, and many people will send gifts in response without needing to be asked. However, nobody should feel obligated to do so.
